Cabaret Series 2022

Chef/Owner Mark Frangione announces the launch of an exciting new cabaret series to be held at his award-winning and popular Lake Park restaurant, Pelican Cafe. The first inaugural show in the series will begin on Thursday, January 13, 2022 with “Poets & Pickers” featuring the incomparable Carole J. Bufford and the internationally recognized guitarist Peter Calo. According to Bufford, “the lyrics of these songs have the ability to make you laugh, break your heart, chill you to the bone, hurtle you through time and space or just make you relish the beauty of the words.” The show includes numbers by Randy Newman, Irving Berlin, Bobbie Gentry, Cole Porter, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, Kander & Ebb and more.

Unlike other evenings at Pelican Cafe, this series will feature a three course dinner from 6 to 8 PM followed by the show from 8 to 9:15. Dinner will consist of a first course, a choice of one of four entrees, and dessert. Ticket prices include both the dinner and the show. A cash bar will be available before and during the show. For each evening in the series, the tables will be reconfigured to maximize visibility of each performance. Join us for the first of four shows in our Cabaret Series 2022.
