Our food is prepared fresh and made to order with an emphasis on fresh seafood, freshly made pastas, house made soups, sauces and dressings, and even homemade Decadent Donuts (served complimentary with breakfast on weekends).
Our style is epicurian. It's fine ingredients, flavorful sauces...and beautiful presentations.
Some of our signature dishes include: Eggs Benedict, Frittatas, Homemade Black Truffle Sacchetti with Tiger Shrimp, Mom Frangione's Sunday Pasta, Black Angus Beef Gourmet Burgers, Tuscan Style Pizzas, Parmesan Crusted Filet of Sole, 16oz. Veal Chop On-The-Bone, and Mom Howe's Award Winning Pineapple Upside down Cake. Gluten Free and Vegan options are available.
Mark & Karen are lovers of fine wines and it's evident when you see their extensive Wine List. The bar is fully stocked with fine spirits of every kind for your enjoyment.
Pelican Cafe was founded in 2008 by husband & wife, Mark Frangione and Karen Howe from Greenwich, Connecticut, who fell in love with Palm Beach County and made it their home.
We believe that an exceptional dining experience is not only about the quality of the ingredients and masterful food preparation, but the care given by our staff to serve each guest as if they were family.
Celebrating 12 years in Palm Beach County, we are so honored to be part of this wonderful community. We truly love getting to know our guests and we hope to enjoy the pleasure of your company, soon.
The Pelican Cafe is situated in the historic Kelsey House, which was built in the 1940's as a guest house of Mr. Harry Seymour Kelsey, who founded the town of Lake Park and was one of the largest land owners in Palm Beach County in the 1920's.
The home was perfect for our vision of creating an atmosphere of "Nantucket Meets the Florida Keys". You may dine in one of several indoor dining rooms, or opt for a table on our spacious outdoor veranda, under cover. At night our patio is magical with twinkling blue lights adding to the nautical ambiance.
Many guests remark about the artwork on our walls. All paintings are the works of local artist August Pearl and are for sale. Our recent renovations have given the house a lot of love and upgrades which kept its charm and will last for years to come.
