Owner who genuinely cares about his establishment and every customer. Beautiful location that is a nine iron from the water. Great homemade seafood, pasta, breakfast, and meats. Wonderfully decorated and comfortable little restaurant on US 1. The pelican cafe is a true diamond in the rough.
The food is great - from breakfast (donuts) to lunch (fish tacos or Reuben) and finally dinner (veal, fettuccini or shrimp) I have never had a bad meal! When the weather is nice, sitting outside adds a new attraction to an already great place. The wine list is also very impressive. Mark has outdone himself and almost every other competitor within a 10 mile radius....
"
Best Breakfast"
My wife and I visited Singer Island the first part of May 2012. We finally found this great restaurant that serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We stopped late Sunday morning as we were leaving to return to Ft. Myers.
It was probably one of the best breakfasts I have had anywhere (including New Orleans) The staff makes everyone feel confortable and at home. The owner / manager comes around and checks on you while dining. When seated the wait person brings a homemade doughnut for each of the guests prior to taking your order. Absolutly excellent. We will go back and have not only breakfast but also dinner.

This is just the kind of neighborhood restaurant you fantasize about. The food's good. The service is friendly. The prices won't compel you sell the family jewels. Sunday brunch is top rate. "This is one of our special, off the radar, eateries that we find every once in a while - a small jewel that prepares good American classics at affordable prices..." -Pat Weiner - Spotlight on the Northern Palm Beaches
